There are a lot of people out there that are white as snow yet they are called white, why can't they be called opal or alabaster?

Albinos also have pink or blue eyes and white hair. Look for some pictures of albinos, then you'll know what "white as snow" really means.

So white people are white ("as snow") and you think think they shouldn't be called white? Yeah... that makes no sense.

is opal. If your skin is this color and has gleaming iridescent red and green imperfections, you're not white, you're a jellyfish.

The same way people with a high amount of melanin are called "coal" or "shale", and those with a slightly lesser amount refered to as "mudstone" and "gneiss"?
