Your best bet is a Police supply store.
You can order it online, from companies like Gall's.

Just remember, not all pepper spray is the same.
There are alot of cheap imitations being sold.
Don't expect to buy real pepper spray for $9.95 at Walgreen's.
Also, make sure you carefully check the expiration date.
Pepper sprays can go dead.
And thats the last thing you would want, if you really needed it.

You can buy it anywhere like Gun stores, I think even Walmart!
It is not however in the strength used by the police.

However, I am not recommending anyone or anything as it may be illegal where you are!
Pepper spray is mild as compared to what is available today!

If you are over 18, you can get pepper spray from any outdoors store, like an army surplus place. I think even Wal-Mart sold pepper spray at one time.

It depends where you live. In many places, pepper spray is a prohibited weapon.
I am not all convinced that carrying a weapon is the best way to defend yourself. I would suggest, that if you fear for your personal safety, you might want to ask the local police where you can get training in how to defend yourself.
Many retired people lived in my area in Canada. A martial arts guy gives courses on how to defend yourself with an umbrella or a cane. After the course, some of the seniors could take Arnold down!
Mind you, I suspect that the California voters will do that in the next election.

Walgreens, walmart, 7-11, you name it! OC spray has become as common as bubble gum.

The last time I bought it, I got it at Academy Sports. You could probably also get it at an outdoors store, like Army/Navy if there is one nearby.
