ZCT is correct, your ex can not change the locks, or change the interior if the house is in your name only. Legally you can go to the cops and say he is trespassing and you want him removed or even arrested. If any thing is changed you can even go after him for destruction of property.

Why aren't you in the martial home??????? Besides that, Their relationship has never ended. It's been off and on from day one. You just didn't know it. Don't believe that they were friends for the baby's sake. The kids weren't the problem in your marriage, his dishonesty was. The plan was to move her in all along, that's why it happened so fast. You may be in love with your husband, but I doubt he was ever in love with you. If he was, he would not have done this to you. I know you don't like the ex, but as long as she doesn't harm your child in any way there's nothing you can do about her being around him. It's a tough pill to swallow, but you are better off without him. Keep the visits cordial and move on. Your heart will mend. It always does!! Why are you not in the martial home?????

As far as I know, he cannot. My ex and I purchased a home together, both our names on the mortgage, and when we split, he put different locks on the house to keep me from coming back to take my possessions. I asked my lawyer if I would get in trouble if I "broke into" my own home. She said just make sure I had a copy of my mortgage with me. If anyone called the police, show the police the mortgage and your ID...she said the police wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. If it is solely in your name, you can force him out, but you may need help from a lawyer or the police to make sure you do it properly and legally. Good luck. Sorry to hear you're in this situation.

If the home is in your name only, then you have the right to kick him out or forbid him from changing the locks. It's your house.

If the home is in your name then call the police and have your morgage papers with you to prove that it your home. and ask them to remove him from the home. and then you change the locks on him and through his stuff on the streets. If you don't have a opy of the papers with you then you can call your morgage company and ask them to fax you a copy so you can show proof of owner ship to the police.

No legal right. As landlord you have right to access your property. You might want to inform him he is a tenant......and draw up a lease contract.
