It seems like newscasters/reporters always read from light blue colored paper (or sometimes pink) when delivering the news. Why? Does it have something to do with the lights?

Hmmmm. I served as a 'copy girl' in newsrooms in Philadelphia as part of an internship when in high school. The pink and blue paper had nothing written on it, and the stories were on TelePrompTer screens.

I can't imagine that things have reverted to print on paper since then.
