An inch is a measurement of distance. A ton is a measurement of weight. The two aren't related.
That's like asking how many bananas in a rock.

Inches indicates length or width of something... a ton refers to a weight measurment.

others have mentioned the obvious --
but by-the-way -- on my screen, the words "a ton" shows up as 1/2" [1/2-inch] long -- so in this sense,
1/2" to the ton, but "2 tons" [in same font] would be 9/16" because of the Xtra letter --

You can't do this......inches are measuring length and ton is a weight. There are no inches to a ton so you cannot figure this out.

diameter, and circumference.

A ton is a amount of "weight."

When you step on the scale at the doctors office.
the platform you stand on gives you your "weight."
The scale that is measured above your head is your
