Yes, they are back on the market. Their effectiveness is somewhere in the 80's (percentage wise). If used with a condom the percentage goes up into the 90's. Some would still find this unacceptable.
I used it and never got pregnant, but that's just me.
They went off the market because the plant where they were being made had something wrong with the water supply and it was too costly to fix, so they stopped making them. Another company bought the rights and now makes them elsewhere.

They are on the market.
I work in womens health..
I used the Today sponge BEFORE they came back to market, I mail ordered them. I did become pregnant, and I did have an abortion.
They do not work VERY WELL. They are not a very effective form of birth control if you truly cannot handle becoming pregnant, because it is a higher risk with that type.
I have an IUD now, which is 100% hormone free, and free of side effects related to hormones :)

did they finally bring them back on the market... they are fantastic... if you are sensitive to spermacide they can burn though.. they only way to find out is to just use it... but yes if you are in a commited relationship and dont want to use condoms this would be my choice

I thought those were taken off the market! lol, I don't need birth control so I don't keep up with such things, but if they are back, then I would assume they fixed whatever the problem was.
