Coming Home by Cinderella is a favorite...pretty much every song from Long Cold Winter.

The Replacements - Black Diamond
Love And Rockets - Rain Bird
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood
Pink Floyd - Two Suns In The Sunset
Ozzy Osbourne - Over The Mountain
....and so many more.

However, if you are looking for an 80s hair metal answer...then, it's Cinderella.

I have many from the rock side , so it's hard to give a "one song" answer , plus - "Rock" can mean radio stuff , or whatever. So, i give you Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love". I actually played the song in 2 different cover bands, but i revved up the guitar parts. WE liked to play it , but it was kinda hokey , so what we did was subvert the lyrics - band #1 we sang "Might as well face it...your d#%k is a dud" , and band #2 we abruptly ended the tune with "Might as well face it..you're a d#%k!" i know...TMI , huh?

Pink Floyd's Learning to Fly
Floyd isn't what you generally think when you say 80's, but it's still an awsome song from the 80's.
