I do Many People will disagree saying " how can they be with that Payroll and other crap " This Year they had to Battle just to Be In the PostSeason i just feel they are because the following reason

1. They only have 2 Starters who you actually can depend on

2. Only 2 guys in the BullPen who Cant actually Preserve and Save the game

3. The Yankees are the Wild Card They dont play the Firsat games at home , Wild Card teams are undedogs because there in the wild card Postion

But with all that said i love being an underdog , it Means we have to Prove More , but When do prove were the Best its just a great Emotion

No, cause no matter what facts you have, the Yankees are never ever underdogs. Especially for the World Series.

I guess I could kind of agree with you on that. I mean, I know that the Yankees have the most experience over the other teams, but you are right, they don't have as big as an advantage as other teams with the starters, bullpen, the fact that they are the wild card (even though they have better stats then the cubs, the cubs have better starters, bullpen etc) and on. Even though I'm rooting for the Cubs and I think they are really an underdog (which I agree, I prefer rooting for an underdog team, if the underdog wins, then the victory is all the more better), just because they have the least amount of wins then all the other teams this post season, and they haven't won a world series in almost 100 years. Good luck and may the better team win!

first of all, i'm a purple Sox fan. I even have seen some video games the place judgements he's made i presumed had a damaging consequence on the interest, and that befell approximately 4 circumstances. the guy's controlled what a million,a hundred-some thing wins and four WS and 13 placed up Seasons with the Yankees. They (Steinbrenner & Sons or Cashman) are honestly retarded to enable him flow. Who the heck do they think of they'll replace him with? Mattingly? Mattingly grew to become right into a 1B, All-celebrity. solid Managers (of the customary a Yankee supervisor could % to be) are the two Catchers or Pitchers, not First Basemen. I propose his first 365 days there he controlled a word series win... yet another ingredient as quickly as we had that knuclkehead Dan Duquette he spent lots time blaming persons ... after a on a similar time as there grew to become into no one left to blame. the comparable ingredient will ensue to Cashman (who looks like a typical long island city sleaze bag anyhow). returned, as a purple Sox fan, it fairly is super information. i'm hoping Torre is going to Texas, he can paintings some magic with them. he's a chic guy and he will have a solid destiny. Yank followers get waiting for us to take many extra branch Pennants now which you have have been given merely enable the main experienced and argueably the suited supervisor in baseball walk out the door.

Yes and No... the yankees have been a little streaky this year and are not really the favorite but i would not call them an underdog. They are coming into playoffs with a very good second half, A-Rod playing better than ever, A ton of playoff experience on their team. The A.L. is pretty much a toss up, they are all great teams and any one of those teams could take it.

No, I definitely don't agree..............Sure they battled to be in the playoffs but so did Philly, The Rockies, etc., etc.........If I could find the Vegas odds I would post them for you but I'm pretty sure even the betting public didn't make the Yankees underdogs..............I'm tired of hearing about their payroll.......Does anyone ever say that the Yanks payroll is $210 million and Boston's is $195 million???........I think that's about the exact figures..........I don't think at home or away matters that much at all..........The Yankees will play like the Yankees no matter where they are..........The one thing I completely agree with you about is the pitching........I honestly believe our pitching is weak..........I don't think any pitcher can be relied on for the Yankees...........I don't like Clemens because he's been pretty much pampered his whole Yankee career...........How many times has he pitched more than 6 innings in a game???...........I'm not crazy about Andy Pettitte because his record of 15-9 isn't impressive and when he's off, he's far off........Mussina is erratic and Wang doesn't have much playoff experience........Our bats are going to have to come thru big time for us no matter who we play..........Torre is going to have to make decisions quickly if these pitchers aren't carrying the game and that's to pull them out before the game gets out of reach.........That's the only thing I don't like about Torre........He'll leave his big name pitchers in too long when they're going bad..........As for bats A-Rod has had 2 horrible playoff seasons.........He has to come thru this year and play like he did all season........I also feel that IF the Yankees don't get to the World Series or get there and don't win it A-Rod will be gone but if they get there and win he'll remain a Yankee.................CAT

Vegas disagrees with you, they have the Yankees at -200 for this series and the Indians at +170.

That means the Indians are the underdogs, but I agree with you that the underdogs will win.

Actually the odds makers had the Yankees as the odds on favorite to win the world series.

Yankee - 2 to 1
Red Sox - 3 to 1
Phillies 5 to 1

out of the 8 teams in the playoffs

Duh

Sure, even though they are the Yankees, even though many predicted them to win the World Series, but they ARE the underdogs. People said they were done in May and when they were 14 games out. They battled back, and kept on fighting, even when everyone said it was time to turn in the towel.

And I agree with all of your 3 points

Whoever says the Yanks are underdogs are just looking for bulletin board material. They certainly are not the underdog, just look at all the pro baseball people who say the Indians don't stand a chance. I hope to god that the Indians win, and shut those bandwagon (and spoiled die hard fans) up already.
