I'm so sorry to hear this... and yes you can have severe muscle spasms after this procedure. They tell you epidural and can do many things at the same time. The last procedure that was done on me they went into the nerve sheathes with the injections... I had to go in for trigger point injections within four days as the spasms were so bad! After that I felt much better, but they also gave me a stronger pain killer to go with. And, like you this procedure has not lasted long enough to make it worth while. I doubt your bleeding had anything to do with the epidural, assuming your referring to menstruation.

the epidural had nothing to do with re-occurence of your menstrual cycle, you simply aren't through with menopause yet. As for the leg pain, if it began immediately after the insertion of the epidural, then yes, I would say it was the cause. If it happened as much as two days later, no, it isn't the cause and you have to look further. If you have a herniated disc, it is likely that is the culprit.

I have had at least 5 injections and they can cause extra pain. I also have severe pain down my left leg but I had thay problem before the injections. It sounds like your herniated disk has started to pinch off your sciatic nerve. If you haven't already, you need to get to an orthapedic sergeon to order a mri scan. A problem like this will not show up on a simple x ray. I wish you luck and make sure you refer to more than one doctor for answers. You should try the Haider Spine Instititute in Riverside California. They are excellent at what they do and really care about there patients.

i've got not had this concern yet i'm a actual Therapist and take care of ppl that get this sort of injections. The injections are a extra appropriate selection b/c the subsequent step is surgical technique. there is usually a danger with the injection. U could be allergic to the drugs and have a promptly reaction or interior hours. in case you get a doctor that doesn't have too plenty journey appearing the injection, she/he would possibly no longer inject the awesome section and could reason another issues like puncture the dural sac inflicting leakage of cerebral spinal fluid inflicting an astonishing headache that could final for days, etc. My suggestion ahead of making a call for this injection may be for u to have actual therapy with a actual stable handbook therapist and he could assist you to be certain the concern yet whilst the herniation is very undesirable, therapy would possibly no longer help. suitable of success
