I can't figure out his reasoning. Every country has to have some gay people. Does he really believe this or is he just making some political statement?

If you lived in Iran would you tell anybody you were gay? Come on let's be real. They are probably all gay since men and women are mostly kept separated. They just don't call it that. Our armed forces are not allowed to go into the Gulf countries alone for fear that they will be kidnapped by arab men looking for booty. My son said they would try to buy them.

The president of Iran told the truth that there are no gay people in Iran because the majority of them are muslims and the government of Iran rule the country in line with islamic teaching.In the holy Qur'an Surah 4 An Nisaa (women or muslimah) verse 16 (4:16) God spoke that both persons who did a cruel act (homosexual between 2 men or 2 women)) should be punished(killed).Homosexual had been happened before Islam that was in the era of Luth prophet where all homosexual and lesbian people had been killed by God by earth quake.and its soil had been overturned now is welknown as Dead Sea area.

He says there aren't any gays because he killed them all, but EVERY place has gays. America may not be the gay Mecca, but we're miles ahead of Iran.
I think he believes gays are evil, and if they're all dead, that form of perversion will be gone, and all the unfulfilled men there will need to shtupp their sheep or their camels.

Because in his culture it is not acceptable to be gay. A man or woman who is gay would very likely be stoned to death in his culture. Many of my Arab buds have told me that men would regularly sleep with boys or other men, but they HAVE to take a wife. Women, fagettaboutit! They have VERY limited rights, so it would be unheard of for a woman to be openly gay.
So "there are no gays" really means people are afraid to be gay, because they know what will happen. Similar instances in many other cultures, too.

This butthead lives in a big palace with tight security around him and has to have someone escort him too the WC (restrom) so he can releave himself.
He doesn't know what is really happening out in the streets of Iran except for what he is told.

He must have meant to say "There are no OPEN Gay people in Iran" because they're all murdered in cold blood!

He either means it in the "I've killed all the openly gay people" sense or the "my nation is so religious that there couldn't possibly be any" sense or both. Whatever it is, he's insane!

They kill them routinely if found... It was a rhetorical statement of propaganda based on a perceived truth.
