Pronger did amazing in the playoffs, but some of the young guys stepped up too, but Anaheim wont make a young player captain, that would be stupid *cough* Penguins *cough* and with neidermeyer and selanne on the fence, pronger is the best choice

I personally think PRONGER should not be captain. I think I remember Bertuzzi getting into some trouble for hurting an Avs player (seriously hurting) and Pronger making some pretty serious vicious hits that got him suspended a couple games last year but this year he is El Capitan? I don't get that logic.

Nope, it would have been Pronger last year as well. When he got off the plane from Edmonton, Niedermayer and Burke talked to him about taking it then. So, for Burke, this is what he wanted all along.
David H
In Yzerman's last season, opponent's scored 22% of the time when Yzerman took a penalty.
Last season, Anaheim gave up power-play goals on 9% of Pronger's penalties.

I say once they rise an up and coming star long term... like how the wings did with yzerman way back when...
and did you notice there captain took a penalty in which the wings scored the tying goal on? not very captain like? i cant remember the last time yzerman did that...
plus i dont like pronger...
hey at least im honest.

This came up last week. Had to name one before they played 2 games in London. It's not a bad choice. He's a leader and he's been a captain before. Just because you don't like the guy does not mean he isn't qualified.

I guess those London tilts weren't all that interesting, eh?
No doubt about this one. Never in question. He emotes fear and respect with both opponents and teammates alike.
He also wore the 'C' in St. Loo, would have done so in Edmonton if not for Smith and, again, would have done so in Anaheim if not for Niedermayer.

i knew. and anyone who is what you call a GOOD leader should be captain. though i don't know Pronger I've got to believe that someone who is being suspended every other game doesn't fit that qualification.
