When politicians can say "look what we've done for you", they'll always get a vote. It's all about power and control. Worry about the problems later when someone else is running the show. Kind of what we're seeing in SS and Medicare right now. Why do you think there is so much worry over this sub-prime meltdown? They see the tax base being wiped out among some other reasons. There goes your funding of gov. programs.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the gov already does run healthcare, and that is why it is screwed up. Ex. Hospitals are certified by an accrediting agency called JAHCO. They certify that hospitals meet certain "standards". Theirs. It is completely voluntary. WInk. In order to get gov. money ie medicare, hospitals have to pay this agency around $50k/year.
I guess you also didn't see that if you are in the hospital for say a heart attack, and during the night you get up and fall and break a hip, if you are on medicare, they won't pay for the broken hip. Either you will pay for the hip repair, and/or the hospital eats the cost, then prices go up. So do you want MORE gov involvement in Healthcare.

Most Dems that i have heard speak dont think the common person can make decisions for themselves. To them the government should make the important chooses. I personally am totally against socialized health care. All that will get people is worse care and higher taxes. I have good health insurance thru work i wonder if those that dont why not. Perhaps they need to find better work or quit spending so much cash on stuff and get insurance of there own!

Let's take a look at how well the VA is run, google Walter Reed Hospital. Next, look at how well the government does on the rest of the programs it runs: Social security is bankrupt; Medicare is corrupt; Welfare has failed. Socialism has failed at every aspect that it has been tried, including medicine.

The LASIK isn't existence saving scientific care.the situation with the present gadget is the government tells hospitals they could take care of people who've existence threatening situations, yet not person-friendly scientific care. scientific care might avert the will for this emergency care. the reason it is greater in availability is via the fact in case you are able to not have the money for it, you are able to not have it or, you are able to save for it and get it later. that would not artwork for many cancers.in case you've the money for to pay for many cancers scientific care, the longer you circulate away it the costlier it is going to become. The NHS covers splendor surgical treatment as a results of burning and so on, yet not for splendor reasons. So socialised drugs could conceal it for issues that at the instant are not you fault, or to restoration issues like burns (that disfigure) and so on, to not supply women extra advantageous breasts. uk spends below a a million/3 according to man or woman than the US, lives on familiar a million and a million/2 years longer and would not exchange there gadget. (the main suitable wing social gathering, the conservatives stated there priority replaced into the NHS). Socialist wellness care each and each of ways. (edit) person-friendly financial thought explains it transforming into to be extra cost-effective, extra low priced and so on. it somewhat is only the comparable way the different bits of the financial gadget works. in case you examine out my 2d paragraph you will see why that would not artwork interior the remainder of the scientific gadget.

the dems want this because they know that almost all americans, including some corporations, want this.
and many of us have to wait weeks and weeks to see a doctor the way it is.
and the govt does a fine job with the fire and police departments, i see no reason why all of the multi billion dollar insurance companies that make their fortunes by denying claims and allowing people to die, should not be put out of business tomorrow.

If the government subsudizes insurance policies for those that dont have it and cant afford it....how will that cause months of waiting.... The idea isnt for the government to "Run" healthcare....only to make it possible for the uninsured to get insured.

They aren't talking about it because it is political and the media is anti-republican. And I don't know where you people are living that can't get into a doctor for months. I never have a problem. I think you are exaggerating a bit.
