today in class, we played a game to review for a quiz and at the end of the period the teacher asked who wanted to take the test tomorrow. she explained that if we took the test on friday, then tomorrow we would sit all period and do a bunch of boring review worksheets. but if we take it tomorrow, we could play a game on friday. so nearly everyone in the class raised their hand indicating that they were ready to take the test (including myself). so now we're taking the test tomorrow. the problem is, my friend is one of the people who did not raise their hand. she came over tonight and we tried to study but she got extremely frustrated that she couldnt get anything and also at out teacher. it was completely unfair for the teacher to determine whether or not we should take a quiz off of how many people were ready for it. and so my friend is afraid that she's going to fail it....

And this makes your teacher stupid? Sorry - not in my books.
According to your account, your class had two choices - take the test tomorrow or take the test of Friday. The class chose to take the test tomorrow and play games on Friday. It was an odd option for the teacher to give, but nonetheless, the class made a choice and your friend is stuck with it. All she can do at this point is do her best. Everyone else is taking the quiz a day early as well so it isn't as though they had extra study time that your friend didn't have.
What should you do?
There's nothing you can do. You can't change the day of the quiz. The majority has spoken. That's democracy. It may not please everyone, but that's the way it goes.

First of all, I wouldn't call your math teacher stupid and unfair...otherwise why learn from them? What your teacher did was a poll to make a decision, majority votes win. Not necessarrily unfair. However, if this was a problem for your friend, they really should have spoken up during class. However, why not just have your friend speak to the teacher the next day and express thier feelings about it... and if they won't why not bring it up to the teacher for them?

She needs to tell the teacher that she needs extra help.

And you need to quite calling your teacher stupid and unfair because she isn't. She was being nice and giving you all a break. You on the other hand are being mean and disrespeteful.

BUT she didn't do anything wrong...your friend should had already gone to her and told her she was having problems from the on set. You can't except people to know what is going on.

Frankly, one day wont help too much. Tell your friend that she should be studying a little bit each night, not cramming the night before the test.

I really don't see how you can be angry at the teacher when you were part of the problem.

have your friend call off sick tomorrow and take the make up test Friday...but I have this question: does your friend think she can gain enough knowledge in one extra day to pass a test Friday that she could not pass Thursday?

If your teacher was stupid and unfair she wouldn't be the teacher. Sounds like you should do more studying and less complaining about the teacher.
