are you crazy? If you are not a Yankee fan, everyone wants the other teams, to beat them. The Mets just over used some of there pitchers and there bats dried up. They blew it.

Oh please...they lost because they choked. They had no relief pitching and their starting pitching was beginning to collapse. The bonuses and incentives alone are enough to want to reach the post season. It had nothing to do with the Yankees...they just sucked.

this is, by far, one of the dumbest questions i've seen yet on yahooanswers.
EVERY team wants to make it to the post season. moreover, it's not as if they'd have to face them right away. the only time they'd have to face the yanks is in the world series (assuming both teams make it there), and making it to the world series, whether you win it or not, is a huge accomplishment.
i doubt that's the case.

this is probably the stupidest question i have seen on this board in a long time. why would a first place team blow a seven game lead just so they don't have to face a certain team. a team, by the way, in which they beat 3 times in the regular season.
