i like the word preggo, when i was preggo i said it and typed it and used it all the time. I dont see it being disrespectful as long as the person you are calling preggo/preggers doesnt mind. And yes it is beautiful time in a woman life and if she likes the word preggo and it makes her happy to say it or be called it, more power to her. There will always be words used that some people dont like, but we cant all conform to one persons belief of how it should be used. of course thats just my opinion and everyone has their own.

I'm almost 41 weeks, and being called preggo or preggers is the least of my problems right now. I don't care what people say because it has never been used in a derogatory way.

Preggo or preggers isn't disrespectful...saying a woman is 'knocked up' IS.

i refer to myself all the time as being preggers, up the duff or knocked up and i was due 4days ago and i can't wait to "spit it out" or "pop". most people don't mean it in a derogatory way and alot of pregnant women refer to themselves in that manner. its just a fact of life that others may not like but have to deal with. sorry!

I never thought of it as derogatory. It's just meant to be fun and silly (to me it is).
I've heard one of pregnant friends refer to herself as "preggers."

Uh who are you, the grammar police or some crap? Get off your high horse. Everyone has their own way of saying PREGNANT. Get over yourself and stop telling people what to do thanks.
