Here are the problems im confused with

it says to state whether the number given is a solution to the equation.

1. 14b = 56;b = 4

2. 32 = y divided by 8;y = 256

3. 52 = y divided by 6;y = 256

Solve each equation. Then check each solution .
Show your work

1. 6v = 792

2. b divided by 18 = 21

3. 19m = 266

4. g divided by 52 = 18

5. z divided by 27 = 63

6. 58 = j divided by 71

WHo knows how to do this cause im confused on what to do i did the first few problems but the rest are giveing me trouble

For the first three, just substitute in the value for the variable and see if the two sides are equal
1.
14 * 4 = 56
56 = 56, so this is true

2.
256 / 8 = 32
32 = 32, so this is true

3.
256 / 6 = 42.666...
52 does not equal 42.666..., so this is false

Bottom section

you need to do the opposite operation to isolate the variable.

1. 6v = 792 (divide by 6 to both sides to get v by itself)
v = 132

2. b / 18 = 21 (multiply by 18 to both sides to get b by itself)
b = 378

3. 19m = 266 (divide by 19)
m = 14

4. g / 52 = 18
g = 936

5. z / 27 = 63
z = 1701

6. 58 = j / 71
j = 4118

btw, this type of math is something that is taught since 3rd grade. Please pay attention during class or you will be lost for a long time to come.
