the worst scourge facing mankind is the different types of degenerative diseases, and CANCER is by far the worst. Talk about what NEW APPROACHES are being taken to treat and cure the disease since so called accepted treatments like radiation, chemptherapy, and surgery rarely ever work.

Though all of those listed are good, I would be interested in how obesity's affects our daily lives and the implication of it's relationship to other problems, like diabetes.

Not a really fancy subject, but one that a great deal of Americans have to or will have to deal with in the future.

I would do my report on Polio. Back in the 1950's it was rampant until Jonas Salk invented the cure. It was eradicated but now seems to be coming back again, not only in the US but around the world.
