Good gracious, no! Knowledge is power, and it is better to know than not to know.

Ignorance can feel strong, because the ignorance can actually feel smart. When all you know is white rice then you feel correct when saying white rice is the best rice there is. Although some may differ and say brown rice is better, you did not know because all you knew was white rice. To me ignorance is not strength, it is a form of weakness in the sense that the person is not cultured or educated. Though it may not be that persons fault whether they are educated or not, it will still make them weaker in the long run. It may work where they are now (if they live in a small town or such) but if they moved it would cause them more trouble then good and they would be left weaker then strong.

I can see how ignorance could be strength in some cases. For example, in the Italian movie Life is Beautiful, the father protects his son from knowing that they're actually in a life or death situation by turning it into a game for him. In cases like that, ignorance can give you the strength you need to continue on pushing through the hard times in your life. In the movie, if you had no idea people were being killed, it gives you hope to keep fighting. In war, not knowing your leader is killed makes you believe that he/she is still fighting for you and gives you the strength to carry on.

But all in all, when not in life or death situations, I do believe that ignorance is not strength nor is it bliss. The more knowledge you attain, the better off you'll be.

Yes... one person's ignorance can become the strength of another.

Jesting aside, ignorance can be a strength only in the very short term in certain specific circumstances... otherwise it is a weakness as well as a curse.

WTF?! IGNORANCE A STRENGTH?! HELL NO! If anything, we should eradicate ignorance. It causes so many problems. If people were more educated, we would definitely have fewer problems.
