steverZ- that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. If GOD created us....why did he give us these awesome brains to use to figure out facts? dont you think if we were meant to just believe everything some random preacher on the corner read out of a book someone told him was written by GOD'S grace, that we would still be monkey's? We are smarter than that now....we know the bible isnt accurate now, it was a book written by government and church leaders way back in the day to control a then less developed society, they had to rule by fear, and most men arent shaken by other men, hence the destructuive wars we have had throughout history, some of which were started by christians trying to force thier dumb book down the throughts of societies that were already booming.....did your GOD do this? if so he put his foot in his mouth when he said turn the other cheek and love thy neighbor.....see the dilema? probably not...for you are brainwashed by your fear of what lies after this life....if we were meant to live, just to worry about whats gonna happen when we die then what is really the point??? anyway, to answer this question, the reason these ideas are mostly presented with exclusivity, is because of christian people thinking that it is just matter of fact hat we became due to 'God's' will, they refuse to allow for any different views....or you will go to hell, the bible says so. however, this calculated creationism or whatever, where they try to combine the 2? thats just dumb. those are people who are still holding on to that fear of hell so they refuse to reject the bible story completely....but deep down inside, in a place they would never admit exists, they don't beleive thier own crap....however, the Christian God is all knowing, so give it up....you are gonna go to hell either way....so. be like me and join team evolution today! lol. sorry the answer is so long, but that guy above me got me angry. what a putz.

So Im just wondering, why the hell is everyone so stuck on Evolution as the base concept for life? After doing some research, and lst I checked there are still many many gaps in evolution and is still a theory although widely excepted, still a theory.
So why does everyone think of it as a fact? Is it because that's all we learn,we are persuaded to learn evolution and not taught to have our own opinion?
You see,I am not a rebellious but I believe in god and jesus christ. I also believe in Evolution to a certain extent.
But,there are flaws in evolution,to the things we cant explain and such and by studying creationism, and by putting that timeline on top of Evolution and with the idea that "Aliens" or people of higher intelligence targeted Earth by inserting their DNA into apes and such and mixing all of those together. All of those flaws in each individual theory, seems to fit.
I mean, another fact is that the bible has references to Dinosaurs and there are wall paintings about dinosaurs way back about 3000 years ago. So this makes me question all timing of evolution,I believe there is no such thing as Billions and Millions of years ago.
I believe, like the big bang, things happened rapidly when Earth first started, and things progressively started to slow down. This is why we cant find an accurate date based on radioactive dating due to
1. We humans came up with the concept of time. Whether its been millions of years or not, the word "million" isn't a "real" time. Its a placeholder for any time we want.
2. Things happening faster back then and slowing down now wouldn't be accurate when trying to date time as if were constant, which it might not have been.
So all answers just state your opinions and debate if you want,I just find it all interesting :L

Where do the two theories/concepts conflict? One; creationism is not a theory and is not supported by a scintilla of evidence. Evolution is fact and the theory of evolution by natural selection is the explanatory framework that explains how this fact of evolution works. Creationism explains everything with " god did it ", so, consequently, it explains nothing. Sometime two positions can not compromise. Creationism is just wrong. Actually, it is to vapid to be wrong.

Jesus believed in creation as against evolution. In Mark 10:6, He says "from the beginning up of the creation, God made them woman and male". (from the beginning up, not tens of millions of years later). Luke 24:27 has Jesus discussing Moses and the prophets. He needless to say believed the scriptures. Jesus replaced my existence in a impressive way. i'm attempting to stick to Him in all issues. If He believed in creationism, then i will believe in it too. This has not been hassle-free for me because of the fact I went throughout the popular public college gadget like maximum persons do and replaced into taught evolution as actuality. by way of analyze, I certainly have found many flaws interior the assumption. i'm not a scientist, yet I do have some undemanding experience. little ones are indoctrinated into evolution early and have not have been given any reason to believe it is not authentic until eventually a discern or pastor contradicts it. the situation is that as adults, people frequently do not learn what they believe. Society as an entire has countless appreciate for knowledgeable and scientific people and no one desires to look stupid, so as that they simply settle for what they have been advised. i'm not against technology. technology has carried out plenty for humanity. There are 1000's of scientists who're creationists. They went to the comparable universities because of the fact the evolutionists. yet they got here to diverse conclusions.

That is funny, I read bravo zulu's answer twice and didn't find any problem with his grammar. I think that many creationists are taught that evolution is blasphemy and many who believe in evolution are not very tolerant of other beliefs and may be guilty of that sometimes because I have seen so much evidence for evolution. I also think there is so much we don't know that certainly leaves open the possibility of some sort of creationism.

Many have the erroneous opinion that humans and animals were all created in the current form. Evolution doesn't exclude creation. It does excludes the idea that humans and animals haven't changed over time. It has required a religious assault on science in the form of "intelligent design" in order to maintain their faith.

Peter quotes Psalms and says that a day to God is a thousand years, I take it that he is saying that the creation story is symbolic. Could be he was taught this by Jesus.

Bravozulu's grammar is so bad that I cant tell whether he's for or against any of the two concepts, and of course, bk's answer is no answer. I for one accept both creationism, and evolution but, only within individual species. IE, no jumping the species barrier, and so there is no conflict

There is conflict because people keep refusing to Believe what the 'Bible' says.
Genesis 1:27
So God Created man in His own image; in the image of God He Created him; male and female He Created them.
Genesis 1:28
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
---------------------
Why do we humans have to always ''See Proof" to believe the Word of GOD?? How silly we are.
Since GOD said HE Created us and not by evolutionary way,,, then that settles it.
