Of course... they have bought and paid for that party as is evidence by the way the party threw Joe Lieberman, THEIR Vice President Candidate under the bus because he didn't tow the Far left line.... Also, Hillary is scared to death of them and has publicly found herself in hot water with them on several occasions.

Yes, I think there is big difference in both the ideology and the political agendas of Democrats from today, as opposed to Democrats in the tradition of Roosevelt, and Truman, and Kennedy. Today's Democrats are funded by groups such as moveon.org and others whose views would have been unacceptable and incompatible with the Democrats that I mentioned. Specifically, there are differences with regards to foreign policy, the use of military force abroad, and the expansion of the welfare system and entitlement programs that earlier Democrats would not support. The people running the Democratic Party today by and large are disaffected people from the 60's and 70's who do not see the unique position that America has in the world- as a beacon of freedom and hope to the oppressed, and an opponent of totalitarianism and dictatorships the world over. Democrats today wish to redistribute income and create a class of people who are dependent on government for their sustenance, rather than foster a climate of self-reliance. It's hard to square Harry Truman with today's Democratic Party.

Because you look at Joe Lieberman and he is 'left' but was harassed and bashed so much by the wackos of the group Hillary, Obama, Edwards and Kennedy for his stance on the war and his support of Bush but yet still a democrat but turned independent for his lack of respect by his own party.

Unfortunately it is gaining even more notoriety because of most News channels, papers, and websites being that of liberal edge so they will only show the good of the left and find ways to make the right look bad. And people think this is all that is going on and think the left is some polished, clean side.
