I, personally, think that unscented is the way to go. I don't know about where you live, but people are so fussy nowadays about using scents (like perfume or aftershave) because so many people have allergies. Using unscented is the safest route. Let's face it, not everybody has the same opinion of scent and what you may find attractive might be anaethma to somebody else.
At least you use deodorant - please don't ever go without!

Clean is fine with me. If you don't have a strenuous physical job then no deodorant is acceptable. Especially for my partner. For myself I like the "ocean" types. There are a lot of nice scents like "Cool Water" for men. But "clean" is still what I prefer.
Remember what Jerry Seinfeld said about deodorant. "Do we really expect people to believe we smell like our deodorant?" Peace.

and Old Spice for a guy. I know I'm corny but I love Old Spice.
