Ouch! Not fun. Have you started to take a new medication, or had a change in your schedule, or had occasion to drink heavily? Something in your life has changed, clearly. If you can't think of anything (which is certainly possible) then I think it's time to talk with a doctor before you get hurt! In the meantime, I'd move furniture like nightstands away from your bed so that you don't hit your head if you fall again, as well as putting something on the floor beside your bed to cushion a fall. Obviously, if you have something that you can put BESIDE the bed or use a bed-rail to prevent you from rolling out, that's a good idea too.
Good luck!

Babies and small children tend to move in their sleep. I used to fall out of bed when I was six, but it stopped at the age of eight.

Maybe you have been very tired and restless in bed so you moved a lot during your sleep.

I'd put the mattress on the floor so it wasn't so far to fall.
