well it depends on the situation...
being underdressed for something like a wedding would be kinda embarassing
being overdressed for like a beach party would be sad.

i think overdressed, cause what comes to my mind is u show up at a very fancy party, and ur wearing something thats really short and sparkly and sluty. I'd be so embaressed. I'd rather be overdressed and look ugly then be underdressed and look slutty

Under. You can always fake not being over dressed. Like this one time I dressed up in a fancy skirt and button down shirt with my hair in a bun for a school event. When I got there, everyone was wearing there normal school clothes. So my friend helped me cut my long skirt into a mini, I unbuttoned my shirt a little, and I let my hair loose. I soon became the best dressed there!!!
