I know there is corruption in Philippines but this is wrong to be abused because I know as a matter of fact that the future doctors really go through a lot of schooling and pain to become a good doctor

I'd say, we all just get over it. Why are we so over-analytical about something that is coming from some scriptwriter's opinion? I don't think it was intended to be comprehended as racial slur that's all. Would it have mattered if they were attacking our laborers,or fishermen-on a different venue? Or the girls in the streets working for money? I bet a lot were left unsaid and undone.
I'd say we all wake up and smell the coffee. There is a reason why those lines of modern-soap opera were aired on purpose.

I am not a Filipino. I do not think that this is being abused at all.
I would agree that this can be considered as an insult but is it against Pinoy doctors or Filipino's in general or is it an accusation that fake Diplomas, certificates etc. are obtainable for a fee in the Philippines. If, as I think, they are then maybe this is what the show is having a go at. And , if this is so, shouldn't all this indignation be aimed at this situation.
It's a pity that Filipino's can't get this agitated about the political scene in their country.

Not at all. But this is a case of a once-popular primetime program on the verge of cancellation, if not transfer to a daytime slot. They just wanted to get some controversy, and attract more viewers to save the show, at our expense.
Pathetic, actually. Them, not us.

It wasnt a form of abuse at all. It was just a line in a script in a TV show...I have to say na nag over react lang mga taong 'natamaan.'

and to all those pretentious liberals here, yeah right. i am sure if i said something bad about your beloved manila school even if only relating to college basketball you'll really let me have it.

actually u can't blame the actor/actress for saying it... it was scripted and he/she was just following his/her script.. it should be the producers and directors of that show that should be held accountable of this foul up...
