What do you think of the name Sarah Jeanette?
too old fashioned?
It took forever for my husband and I to finally find a first name we agree on and another eternity (ok, I know thats an exaggeration;) ) to agree on a middle name.

His grandmother's name was Joann and my great grandmother's middle name was Jean, so, since all of them are a derivation of John, we thought it would be a nice homage to both of them.
I also kind of like it because I think Jeannie and S.J. are cute nicknames.
Our last name is Martin if that helps.
If you dont like it, what would you suggest?
(we've already thrown out Ashley, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Jane, Olivia, all K-names, and a few others;) )

lol, Sarah, the meaning is how we picked the name;) My husband said he wanted a son and I said "Oh, babe, if we have a girl she will be your little princess" and then the lightbulb went off and I suggested Sarah and he said "ooo I like it!"

I really like the name Sarah. My best friend's name! But not so much the middle name. Some ideas I thought of were Riley Hayden, Lilly Jessica, and Leah Jeanenne. I think Jeanette is a little old fashioned, yes, but Jeanenne is similar. I like the namesake idea!

I plan on Riley Hayden if I have a girl, and Hayden Riley if I have a boy. I love those names and I love them together!

Good luck!

Yeah I think itz a little too old fashioned. It won't be good for her going to school & getting teased b/c she has the same name as the other kids' grandmas. Think about it. Here are some other suggestions:
Mia
Gabrielle
Madison
Camryn
Alexis
Giana (includes both grandmas names)

I love it precisely because it's a classic. Sarah is one of those names that'll never go out of date, and Jeanette is just old enough to be rare without sounding old-ladyish.

Sarah Jeanette sounds fine. I think it's great that you are giving your daughter a family name.

Other suggestions:
Sarah Janelle*
Sarah Jane
Sarah Jeanine

*Sarah Janelle is my favorite.

Good luck and best wishes to you and your family!
God bless you!

I think it's a great name. It is a little old fashioned but that doesn't matter. What matters is how you and your hubby feel about the name.

I like it! S.J. is a cute nickname as well. I think it's great to use family names. Best of luck to you both and your little girl. Congratulations.

I think the name is beautiful. Not only is it my name, but it also means "little Princess" or "princess". SJM does have a nice ring to it and everyone will be so proud that you chose the middle name as apart of themselves.
