I want to make a sleeper out of my 1993 Camaro. I have a 3.4l V6 and I want to get roughly 400 hp out of it w/out doing a whole lot of modifications to it if at all possible? What is the best motor to go with or what can I do the the motor to increase the horse power?

To be honest with you, sell the V6 camaro and buy a LT1 camaro. I've seen more swaps into those than I care to think about, and after you get all the parts needed to put a lt1 in your car, you could have already bought a nice LT1 car. As for pulling the engine out of a donor car, you're still paying for a z28, right? I've seen a couple V6 all motor setups be fairly quick, but nothing under 14s in the quarter mile. A stock Z28 will do that.

A bolt on turbo would bump up horse power and speed but you will need to spend some money. If you just want a sleeper rebuild your suspension ans add NOS it will burn the engine pretty quick, probably a few months but its cheap and you will go by almost any vehicle out there. If you really want to change the engine get a donor v-8 from another Camaro rebuild a bad one then change it to your car.

A small block 383 stroker is very good on the street. It has tons of torque and can have 400 horses easily. You can get this as a crate engine.

A chip isn't going to do much for you V6. Put in a 350 and a relatively mild exhaust. People shouldn't know until they're looking at the taillights.
