If you don't think it is - you will not be able to write effectively about it. Is your teacher "making" you choose this topic? Give me some details and I'll help you.

I am a teacher - essays are my thing.

Ok - Start with the least convincing argument and go to the most convincing one. Appeal to people's patriotism at the end (no one can resist that these days). Be fair and don't put other countries down - compare if you have to - but be objective and polite. Have a catchy intro paragraph - always helps get the reader's attention, and makes your essay stand out from the rest.

Personally - I think the best thing about the US is the freedom of speech - politically. These guys gave you enough ideas - actually. One of my most favorite things about living here is that I meet people from all over the world - that's incredible to me - and I am able to experience different cultures - food, music, clothes/fashion, traditions and languages. An American passport is what a Roman passport used to be in the past. You can pretty much travel anywhere (except Cuba - but don't mention that) - without much difficulty. You have a lot of different political parties, and a democratic system - where the people chose who rules them. You have excellent medical programs - I mean medical technology is like none other. You have 50 distinct states, with different climates and relief - mountains, oceans, rivers, waterfalls, even desert.... and how about Hawaii?... Anyway, keep things organized, keep things simple, don't forget to check your spelling.

You can e-mail me if you have more questions. Follow my advice and you'll get an A.

Best of luck to you!

EDIT - sorry but I must tell you - DO NOT reinstate your thesis in every paragraph - in the US teachers don't like that (you'll see the word rep. on your paper a lot) - AND DO NOT summarize the same thing in the conclusive paragraph as you put in your intro paragraph. Say it again - BUT in a different way. (I studied both here and in Europe - US teachers really hate repetition while French ones, for instance, like it... go figure!)

And- if the US is so bad, let's say, why does everyone in the world want to come here? Do you know how many people want to immigrate here? Try to find some stats to support this argument.

(Monica - no offense - but go back to school before you start passing on your "pearls of wisdom" - thanks KD - love you always)

Monica Sardonica: "The government will feed you?" Are you sure you're actually IN America.

The UK government will feed you as will most other European countries but the US government does NOT feed you unless you are working!

Welfare in the US is for people who have had children, the disabled or some other circumstance that puts a hindrance on their ability to get a job.
A healthy man who does not work in the US does NOT get "fed by the government" because he CAN work.

Your facts are way off.

For the essay writer: Go with the very informative information from the teacher who gave you the logistics of writing an essay.

Okay, please disregard the stupid, uninformed (graduate school) opinions on this page. TheNewDoubleStandard said it right; don't like it? Leave.

I am encouraged to see a teacher phrase a question that way; I was so inundated with post-hippie teachers and profs that relished every opportunity to indoctrinate us with seditious thoughts.

America is the best place on earth. You are free to speak your mind about anything you wish. You can come here penniless, and if you work your @ss off, you can make something of yourself. You can practice any religion you want. You can even do nothing, and the government will feed you. Are we perfect, no! But it's the lesser of all evils. All these complainers need to go to Iran for a few days. Or go visit Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Most people don't have any clue of what they've got until it's stripped from them.

There are countries that have more personal freedoms, countries that have more wealth per capita, nations with lower crime rates, better healthcare, and better education, etc. The reason America is the greatest country in the world is because despite all our problems, we the people still have the power to change it. That is the beauty of our Constitution. As long as we follow the Constitution, we can fix what is wrong with our nation.

One factor that you can emphasize is the contradiction the university approach creates. For the period of high institution pupils are taught in wellbeing classes about healthy consuming, and if the universities promotes and sells junk meals, then the institution contradicts its motive of educating. You can additionally mention that it does no longer only shrink weight problems but it additionally creates a better lifestyles kind, improves mind judgement and as a consequence increases the existence span. Hope this helps by any means. :) excellent luck

If you had a choice of America or ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD but could never change the choice in the future, which would you choose ? I think the answer is obvious.

Here's a good answer: it's the best country in the world because we're so rich and well-off that these idiot hippies can all sit around talking about how much "we suck". Don't like it? Leave.
