If we knew who actually planned the attack and carried it out, then we might be able to determine the motivation for this attack. I've not heard the 9/11 Commission provide a credible story nor provide a credible motivation to help explain why Muslim extremists would do something that would result in immediate retaliation. The scripts explaining the attack had already been prepared.
The most likely reason for the attack is to justify US imperial attacks and occupation of Middle Eastern countries. Given the fact that GWB's brother was in charge of security for the WTC on 9/11/2001, I'd say it was less likely if Gore was elected, but Gore is also part of the the establishment.

1. Oil companies and defense contractors would not have overrun the US federal government.
2. Gore has no sympathies or ties with the Saudis or the bin Ladins.
3. Gore doesn't have a vacation ranch in Crawford, Texas.
4. Foreign relations would not have been shut down when Gore took office.
Bush/Cheney were (at minimum) asleep at the switch or (at maximum) directly responsible for 9/11. Either way, Gore would not have shown the vulnerabilities which provided that opportunity.

Yes, the attack was not partisan or political. What would be interesting to know is how far they would have gone on 9/11 & did they have even more planes set up to be taken over than we will ever know?

If Gore had been president on 9-1-1 we not only would have still been attacked but he would have immediately converted to Islam and surrendered the entire nation to bin Laden.

Very strongly believe 9/11 would not have occurred. Use to watch news hour on public TV, so believe Clinton was offered 9/11 and turned it down. This cannot be told till Obama win Presidency. please anyone but Hillary.
