So recently I got the Sims 2 Bon Voyage and It was working fine the first day. So the next day I tried to play it and an error message came up saying the sims 2 ep6 has encountered a problem, no matter how many times I try to open it up that error message just keeps popping up. Any suggestions. Also I have already tried restarting it.

There has recently been a problem concerning Bon Voyage and H&M fashion stuff. EA games was using SafeDisc for the Sims 2 for copying fraud reasons, but the have switched to SecuROM software protection. Alot of people are having extreme problems using the new expansion packs due to this, and some computers have even been rendered unusable.

Here I will quote something I was reading-'reporting problems with installing or launching the game, virtual drives, CD-burners or anti-virus protection and causing public outcry.'

Most likely due to the switch over from SafeDisk to SecuROM by Sims 2, because what you were describing sounds very similar to the problems described by other Sims 2 users of Bon Voyage and H&M fashion stuff.

I have all Sims 2 expansions and when i installed BV i encountered many things i needed to do in order to get it working perfectly.I have more than enough ram and i found i had to update my video card and sound drivers and processor.I moved all my stuff in my downloads folder to another folder. Then i uninstall BV and reinstalled .Then i played the game and it played well.So i surmise it had to do with too many downloads i had over ten thousand. So i kept all hair and all the hair meshes same with clothing and make up and skins.I got rid of all my custom objects. And most of my mods. Now i have only two mods i use.But keep in mind it will take a bit of time to update everything on your computer.Take your time it is worth it.My game runs the way it should without crashing issues. After careful reading and research i found that the game needs a certain amount of memory space so when your playing it can save the memory while your playing your game. The reason my game was crashing it ran out of room/space to save the memory during game play. That is a major hint by me.
Also remember to open your task manager and end programs running in the background. You can do this by only ending programs that have your user name ,my user name GLR and they are the only ones i end eccept task manager and explorer.I gave glr as an axample that's not really my user name ,but i thought that would help you to better understand what user name meant.Your's will be different.

I had that problem with one of my sims games once. I had to uninstall all of them and reinstall them. Maybe you could just try reinstalling Bon Voyage. Good Luck!

Em. . . I had that problem before. Like it loads forever? Oh yeah. One problem is custom content. Second problem is BV has buggy when it was released. It would be better if you download the BV patch at the official website. hope it all works out!
