I'm considering this for my baby girl. Tell me what you think of it. What you think of someone with that name. I do NOT want other names please. Thanks in advance.

In school one of my best friends was named Bridgette, so it brings up really fond memories for me. I love the name, and I know she always took great pride in the meaning....and no one ever made fun of her name that I can recall by rhyming it with things.

I like the name, but prefer the spelling Bridget. Also, I really only like it with Irish last names.... I just always picture a little redhead with the name.

Everyone save it.... I know having an Irish last name doesn't mean you are going to have red hair..... I've just always seen Bridgets as redheads, mostly because every Bridget I know is a redhead....

I like it a lot. Infact it used to be on my fave names list. I always liked it spelt "Bridget" though but "Bridgette" is beautiful!

I don't personally like that name. There are some fairly unappealing words that rhyme with it (midget, fidget, severed digit). When I hear the name, I think of a heavier-set french lady with a pignose and a long, tight braid down to her mid-back. I hope this helps. Congrats on the new baby!

I had a dog with that name.

Please reconsider the Nicole. It was overused 10-15 years ago.

Very nice "thinkfast". It's spelled in the grammatically correct english spelling. The other freaks with their hooker names should take note.

Nice name. You have some intelligence not normally found here.

It's adorable. My cousin spells her name that way. I like the spelling (prounounced like the traditional bridget)

I think it's a very pretty name and not overly common like other names.

I like the name, but not the spelling. It looks like you're trying too hard to be unique. Stick with Brighid or Bridget.
