Current bands or just grunge bands in general? You've got all the Seattle-based grunge bands from the '90s...Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, etc.

Soundgarden- get Badmotorfinger, the whole thing
Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Babes in Toyland

They might not be technically "riot grrl" but no girls push the grunge like L7. Also get the Pixies, Kim Deal is still one of the best women in rock.

grunge- MUDHONEY, green river...and neil young, sonic youth, and the pixies all influenced the grunge movement...
riot grrrl- BIKINI KILL, the third sex, bratmobile...some older feminist acts would include the raincoats, nico, LiLiPUT, patti smith, x-ray spex, frightwig, and the slits
and some other bands that are similar to some of these and you might like as well are thee headcoats, the pastels, the vaselines, and beat happening

Nirvana, Alice in Chains, here's a new one i picked up, Collective Soul, they have a song called "Shine". I swear that solo came straight off of a Van Halen tune

The best female grunge bands are (were) Elastica and L7.
