Can a full-time law student work part-time without interfering in her studies? If so, what type of jobs would be stress free enough for her to keep up with her studies?

Some schools have their own work programs, but I think 1st year it would be awfully difficult for you to do anything but school! Any job is going to put additional stress on you. Maybe as a Senior!

Yes consider volunteering at a law firm even if it does not pay to gain insights.
