Great question!

I think we need them the most when we are with the ones we care the most about. I've been in situations w/ my better half where we've been in an argument or even a discussion on something important to us and I wasn't able to say how I really felt about something.
But after reflecting, if I feel that not enough was said or wasn't said in the right way I will go back & make sure that my feelings are stated. Most the time this creates a good communication because she knows I cared enough to give it more thought & make sure she was aware of how I really felt.

Sometimes a situation comes up where I have trouble finding the right words to say but most of the time I am able to at least muddle through to help someone when they need it!!
