example: blacks telling jokes about blacks, whites about whites, hispanic about hispanic etc.....

For myself it seems as I get older the jokes just are not funny anymore. Maybe I should loosen up,but It's not entertaning.

How many jokes can you tell about a ethnic group. Not to mention most of the jokes are based on sterotypes.

I agree. Sometimes they can be funny, but it takes a really witty person to do that at this point since all jokes have been told, they're just being recycled.

My feelings towards it are really mixed.

If they're legtimately trying to cause humor with a tone that isn't truly bigoted, I am usually fine with it, and I have an affinity for comedians like Dave Chapelle and Carlos Mencia, due to the fact that they make fun of every group they can think of.

I personally don't use the jokes often due to my views, but that stipulation I listed is an example of times where I can really laugh at them.
They are starting to get old, as I age however.

I absolutley HATE racial jokes they are so demeaning and annoying. I'm still in high school and this little mmiddle schooler on my bus tells ethnic jokes about blacks, hispanics, jewish, german, asian. And he actually thinks it's when it's not. I'm originally from a very diverse city and then moved to a very rural area. I'm also multi-reacial and if this little evil munchkin were caught saying these things in my old home city he would be crying his liquids out for his mommy.

Well, there's being funny w/ a couple ethnic jokes but if you're whole act is based off that, it's not going to be as funny.
The only ethnic jokes that aren't based off stereotypes are when it's about your family.

I dont like dave chapelle's jokes about blacks, especially when he uses the n-word. or.. you know, that one episode with the white family whose last name was n. I hated that.
but on BET when they tell ethnic jokes, its not meant to offend anyone, (they say that at the beginning) its really funny and most the time true anway

They can't think of anything new to joke about. Every ethnic joke has been told and retold for decades now.

black comedians only talk about white people and what they do wrong. but when a white comedian talks about a black person doin something he is a racist. i think people should be able to say what the hell they want to and not have to worry what others think.....
