w³+ 5w² - w - 5 = 0
Using synthetic division:-
1|1__5__-1___-5
"|___1__6____5
"|1__6__5____0
R = 0 shows that w - 1 is a factor
(w - 1)( w ² + 6 w + 5) = 0
(w - 1)(w + 5)(w + 1) = 0
w = 1 , w = - 5 , w = - 1

w^3 + 5w^2 - w - 5 = 0

(w + 5)(w + 1)(w - 1) = 0

w1 = -5
w2 = -1
w3 = 1
