I think that will create too much drama and it's not worth it. I got my permanent resident card through my marriage but i wasn't lying i just love my husband, but i don't think you can do anything about it. She has to prove he lied. The guy will have a lawyer and if your friend can't prove he lied to her just to get the green card he will stay here. In 2 years he will have his permanent resident card, the divorce takes 6 months...you better go and call them. Maybe this link will be helpful.

Sorry to hear that you "got burned"too.
My divorce was finalized on Friday from my Philippino wife. She too was a liar, busy into "using" everyone she could.
Unfortunately, I brought her here to the U.S.A. on a Fiance Visa, we married, separated, now divorced. Immigration has no desire to do ANYTHING until the end of the two year "conditional residency" expires. At that time they will make the determination as to whether or not your husband (and my ex), will be allowed to stay.
Be prepared! If you did bring in your husband to this country (sponsored), you WILL be financially responsible for him for up to TEN YEARS from the date of his "conditional residency card" was issued. And that is whether or not you stay married!
Good Luck!

the answer is yes, he will be able to stay in our country as long as he has that green card. that's the real reason why he married her in the first place.

why would it even matter, who cares if he is going to stay now. he is a loser and hopfully the next woman will find out this as early as you did. I mean think about it just move on and thank god he is leaving so easily. get over it and move on from this relationship. good luck.

I'd suggest she ask the Immigration and Naturalization Service about this.
