First of all, there seems to be a negative vibe about Las Vegas here and I am here to straighten it out. I have lived in Las Vegas since 1988- that's right almost 20 years! There has been so much growth and change in that time and of course like any other city, there are parts of town that people just stay away from. But one person's trash is another person's treasure! To the person advising against moving to North Las Vegas- Have you seen North Las Vegas lately? It's beautiful! Anyway to answer the question, you can use any of the usual websites:
forrent.com
apartmentguide.com
or you can also check out the local newspaper classifieds
lvrj.com (Las Vegas Review Journal)
Most apartment communities have websites and virtual tours so you can feel most comfortable with your decision. I had a friend recently move from NYC to Las Vegas armed with only a computer and he enjoyed his choice. He moved to central Las Vegas. Good luck with your move!

get the For Rent magazine- it's probably online. Please be very, very careful of the area you choose. There are a lot of not so nice ones there now. Don't just go for a cheap" place- believe me you get what you pay for! I lived there for 9 years and I've been gone for 6- it's gone downhill a lot in my opinion since then.

www.forrent.com (lots of apts and pics) and www.apartmentratings.com (tells you how the places are from real tenants).

I would stay away from North Vegas if I were you.
