Halloween is my favorite holiday. I'm fourteen, but I can't seem to accept the fact that my childhood is over. Am I too old to go trick-or-treating with my friend? I know most parents hate the teenagers who smash pumpkins and push little kids around, but my friend and I aren't like that. We just want to go trick-or-treating, because it's a fun tradition for us. Would you, as a parent, be annoyed if I showed up at your door on Halloween? Am I too old already?

no, it wouldn't bother me at all. my boys did it til they were 17. they love candy. as long as you're respectful, i don't think it would upset anyone.

You are absolutely not too old to go trick-or-treating. You are right to want to hang on to your childhood because, well--you are still a child!

I would for sure not be annoyed if you showed up at my door.

You will have a lot of time to be too old to do alot of things...this is not the time and this is not one of the things...

However, if you feel too old or you feel embarrassed, you can always offer up your services to take a younger sibling or neighborhood child out with you...or you can go trick-or-treating for UNICEF as well as candy (check out the website below) !!

Happy Halloween!

While it's true that I prefer to see the little ones in their Halloween costumes because they're so cute...I really don't mind handing out treats to the older kids who are also dressed up. What annoys me is when some of the older kids show up in plain clothes asking for candy. If your going to go out trick-or-treating then dress up in the spirit of the occasion. So, I say your not too old....get a cool costume and go out and have some fun!

No of course not as long as you are not one of the obnoxious teenagers I would love for you to show up at my door on Halloween.

Nope, I think it's great that you want to go! Have a good time, be nice to the littler kids, & don't get into any trouble!
