This is a case of a once popular primetime program that is sliding down in ratings they are being moved to non-primetime (daytime) or facing the possibility of being axed. Ergo, they needed to generate some controversy. They actually like the way Filipinos are reacting!

Not that desperate, I guess. They're airing their new season series. What I think is...one of the scriptwriters may have had a problem with a Filipino doctor once and was using the show to pay him back through that famous line of Teri Hatcher's. Or, he could be a frustrated medical student who studied medicine in the Philippines and unfortunately, didn't pass or made the grade.

If a show has good production values, good writing with lots of humor, and a good cast - in that order, it will interest anyone who is interested in life - how people react under different circumstances. It is a feet-up course in sociology and psychology. There are no feminist, queer or socialist agendas at work here. What's not to like?

No. i don't think even the writers have personal intentions of hurting Filipinos. I just think it was a joke gone bad.

definitely yes!!! stupid producer can't find the right word.. who the hell he is to say that...stupid!!!! if they think Filipino's will keep thier mouth shut well "NO WAY" filipino's are more educated than americans...
