In CA, it's female dominated, although I have run into a few male paralegals. However, the male paralegals I have seen have their law degrees (JD) but never took (or passed) the bar exam, while the female paralegals (except 1 or 2) that I have seen have paralegal certificates / degrees in paralegal studies.

It appears to me that it is more female dominated. I work around attorneys and their staffs. The paralegals are also used as clerical help from time to time, and most guys would not stand for it.

I am a paralegal in Georgia and it definately is female dominated here.
