Depending upon which East oil could be the answer this fuels the civil war in Sudan also. Wars over control of Natural resources are the reason much of the world is angry.

As a person who has studied history extensively (my degree is in history). Wars usually come down to one thing: economics. Follow the money trail. Some people will tell you it's philosophy, religion, etc. etc. but they're wrong, it's economics, getting it or keeping it. Money IS power.
Those who do not study history are condemned to repeat it.
(case in point GWB)
