a = 0, there is no acceleration. Here's why.

Acceleration is defined as the change in velocity over time. Velocity consists of magnitude |V| called speed, like your 100 kph. It also consists of direction, like north, east, south, or west.

So acceleration results when the magnitude changes, the direction changes, or both change. In your case, you say that |V| = speed = constant 100 kph; so the magnitude is not changing. How about its direction?

Nope, that's not changing either. Why? Because you specify the car is going in a "straight line;" so whatever its direction is, it is not changing.

And there you have it; neither magnitude nor direction is changing. Therefore, by definition, the velocity is not changing and there is no acceleration. a = 0.

Zero. Since the speed is constant there is no acceleration. Acceleration is a measure of the change in speed over time.

Zero. A constant speed along a straight line means change in velocity, also known as acceleration, is zero.

theres is 0 acceleration. if a car is moving at a consatnt speed then there is never any acceleration. if you ever see the words "at rest" or "constant speed/velocity" then there is 0 acceleration.

acceleration = substitute in velocity / substitute in time (eighty 5 km * a million h * one thousand m) --------------------------------- = 23.61 m/s ( h * 3600 s * a million km) **** a = (23.61 - 0 m/s) / (10 - 0 s) = 2.361 m/ s^2
