Exactly 1,389,052 festivals, counting the big ones, small ones, the fiestas, the gay beauty contests, the endless thank you banquets converted to some festival for legitimacy, etc etc. LOL

If you go to www.wowphilippines.com you'll get a large list of all the national festivals. That does not include all the Baranguay (small town) ones. Here in Iloilo there are 54 seperate Baranguays so there is always a fiesta somewhere nearby.

at least one everyday somewhere and new ones are invented every now and then.
it used to be just one town fieta in honor of the town patron saint, then towns began to have additional churches so additional fiesta for each church,
then, they can't have enough of it. they ask why cebu and iloilo be the only ones famous.
so city like gen san, with no historically significant event to commemorate, came out with tuna festival. then others copy, bulacan fireworks festival, bicol pili festival, marikina shoe festival, batangas balisong festival, etc. antique i think has aswang festival while pasig has unique drug tiange festival. mandaluyong care of chairless abalos is planning lunatic festival in recognition of mental hospital in his city.

If you mean fiestas - too many to count, considering every town and barrio has its own fiesta.

Many, plenty, abundant. Why? It is because they are prophesing they know God but they made wood and statutes their god. They worship idols not the true God in spirit and truth.
