You're probably washing woolens in hot water and/or drying them in a hot dryer. Some rayon knits will also shrink when exposed to heat. Check the care tags for hints. When in doubt, lay flat to dry or air dry only.

wash them in cold water and let them air dry instead of putting them in the dryer, heat shrinks clothes

well they actually shrink when u put em in the dryer so if they're a real precious material then u should hang dry them in stead of regular machine drying--Good Luck♥

Read the tags first and then wash in cold water on gentle cycle.
