Alright...I know it sounds crazy, but im deathly afraid of these things.
theyre always in my house, not mosquitos.
what are they called??

This is a crane fly, family Tipulidae. There are at least 14,000 species. They are harmless to humans; their grubs eat grass roots. Just ignore them, and screen your windows.

Yep Howards is correct. Its a Crane fly. They are harmless.

Here in the pacific northwest we call them skeeter-eaters. They are good and help keep the skeeters away

It's a water bug. They don't bite- at least that's what my husband says. They are gross, I agree.

i've seen them before, don't know they're name but i know they're harmless.
