I am thinking about it... what is the process? Do most insurers cover it? I am a 36DDD and have a lot of back pain

Insurance will cover a breast reduction if you complain about back pain and any other health issues.

I had it done Feb 2006 and do not regret it one bit.

Find at least three PS's to consult with before choosing a doctor to operate on you. Make sure they are board certified. Check in your health directory first.

I am 31 now and at 19 I had a reduction. It was the best thing for me. You do get a large amount of scarring. But I was a 34E so I go rid of a bunch. My insurance did cover but make sure you go into your family doctor and complain of back pain at least a couple of times. Then after a visit ask if a breast reduction would be a good option. Then if possible he will refer you, then at that point you already have a history of back pain, and most insurances will cover.

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
