Whenever a democrat makes an idiotic statement or claim, they use kids as helpless bait to make people feel sad about it to gain attention.

When Bill was in office he used old people as helpless bait.

I think you are so right....

They purposefully made the bill so asinine, that Bush would have to veto it...thus, making him the bad guy once again...

Come on....80 plus a year for a family of 4....twenty something "kids"....

I would say they are stupid....but they knew exactly what they were doing...and the ones they were counting on to buy it.......bought it...hook, line and sinker!

They are all corrupt.

politics is a game to both the democrats and republicans, and the goal of this game is to get elected or re-elected. most of them don't even care is certain bills they "support" get done or not if they can use the issue as political ammunition. until everybody wakes up, stops being a participant in these silly games, and realizes that neither the democrats or republicans are worthy of our votes, you can expect buffoonery like this to continue indefinitely.

Republicans are doing the same with Iraq... they know that Dems just can't cut the funding w/o Iraq falling apart, which they would them blame on the Dems...

but the Dems can't pull out in an organized way w/o Bush's signature...

and now Reps are slaming them over it, even though they clearly understand that the Dems don't have a choice...

don't go in the kitchen can't stand the heat...

it's politics all the way around... not very pretty is it...

A health care bill to help insure kids is a great idea. In fact, universal health insurance to pay for all those that need health insurance is a better idea.

55 million without health insurance in America is a national shame.

I'm a Democrat, and can agree Harry Reid talks before he thinks.

Democrats are easily fooled. Just put "children" in the bill, and they will support it, without actually knowing that it is for kids whose family makes up to $80,000, and up to 25 years old.....go libs go!
