Depends on the deceased opinion of funerald. For instance my mother in law didn't like sad crying funerals. @ her funeral I did part the eulogy, included several humours things she had done in her life, plus some facts of how she look at situations.
Not only did people laugh they actually clapped when I was done.

I usually end up so stressed and depressed that I don't sleep before a funeral, which means I end up laughing at inappropriate times. It's never good. And I have this bizarre thing where I say "wedding" when I mean funeral and vice versa. It's horrible.

A funeral is to celebrate a persons life and how awesome they were. Think of how the person would want it who passed away. i dont know anyone who would want people sad at their funeral.

I like your avatar's name.........lol

Funerals are , to me, supposed to celebrate that persons' life. That is why I refuse to have a funeral or calling hours.....cause I want people to remember my LIFE not my dying. God will handle that and He nor I need the middleman (called funeral director and home) for guidance. We got our own thing going. I will be cremated and as they scatter my ashes I have all ready supplied them with a vintage bottle of wine to drink and cheer the funny, fun side of my life!

Yes. If it is tasteful. Perhaps a funny memory about the deceased shared by a family member. Surely, the deceased one would prefer it that way than all gloom and doom.

not like side slpitting humor, I think, I mean: it is a sad occasion. I think it's okay to share a happy, funny memory of the deceased person or a funny quote that the person once said.

I'd say it depends on the personality of the deceased and the circumstances in which they died..

Usually no but it depends on what they know the person would have wanted.
