it says that the cornea has unmylenated nerve endings.. and that The cornea is very sensitive to pain because of the ciliary nerves that run just underneath the endothelium.
... does that mean that it's made of nerve cells or that it just have nerves that run through it??

it's a part of nerve cells. A nerve cell has a body, dendrites and axon (usually one axon).

Dendrite is what the nerve ending refering to in the description of the cornea.

Nope. It has nerve endings in it, but it is mostly made up of epithelial cells and collagen. It is also completely avascular, meaning that it has no blood vessels. The tissue is thin enough that it gets its nutrients from tears through diffusion.
