My landlord is on his last leg.(very sad) His wife is also up in her years and doesn't think that she will be able to handle things. I just wondered how soon after he dies that I will be made to leave. I live in the state of PA if that helps at all?!?!
Thanks!

Don't panic yet...she may be up in years but she may turn the management over to a property management company, especially if it's a main source of income for them.

Because it's her husband, she should inherit the property upon his death, so that doesn't necessarily terminate your lease.

Also, if they elect to sell it, the new owner is obligated to honor the lease as it stands, until expiration.

Find out what the family plans are for the house. Usually they don't keep tenants on but? Depends on their plans. Write a letter, copy it , ask what are their intentions. As landlords someone is required to give you a formal notice to vacate. Best look around while you wait. Good luck. (Been there myself)

If you have a lease, it will survive your landlord. The new owner, probably his wife, will honor it. She really has no choice but probably depends upon the income anyway so this may not be an issue of any sort at all.
